Walk with art @ ‘YES BANK ART BENGALURU 2016’

20160819_170413On August 19, I got to kick-start my weekend with a brilliant dose of creativity through an exclusive curated art walk of ‘YES BANK ART BENGALURU 2016’. Paintings, sculptures, photography and installations, all from leading national and international artists will fascinate even those who have very little inclination towards the arts. The seventh edition of Art Bengaluru at The Collection – UB City, will be a 10-day affair from 19 to 28 August this year. The festival will play host to over 30 artists and 150 artworks.
From using textiles, rubber tyres to ceramic books and aluminium sheets for movable art based on the theory of equilibrium, the festival definitely motivate all creative souls to think out-of-the-box. Some of the stunning work included the funky cheerful art installations of Tzuki by Shay Peled (Israel) and vibrant work from Marco93 (France). You should also check out Dilip Chaudhury’s collection reflecting the life at Benaras & Kolkata in black, white & red. And also the fabulous photography of Chennai-based Sharad Haksar, who brilliantly captures the moods & hues of Japan and Iceland.
20160819_164240The festival is not just for art buffs, but has incorporated many activities and events that can involve anyone who enjoys art & culture in the city. This year Art Bengaluru has introduced screening of world cinema at the open air Amphitheatre, creative workshops for kids and adults, talks by reputed artists and performances by global musicians.

Beautiful! So nice to see Tzuki there, too! Feeling inspired, my wife and I just launched a new art-related venture of our own at http://www.vibceramics.co, which features beautiful candles and ceramic bowls, hand-crafted by artisans in The Land of Israel. Please check it out and let us know what you think.
